Today, is our Assemblyman, Jared Huffman’s birthday. So we made a special Birthday Blingee. We likeys him even though he has not made hedgehogs legal in California yet nor has he allowed me the ability as an adult adoptee to access my original birth certificate (even though I can trace [...]

“Today we lost an important battle, but on this disappointing day, it’s worth remembering that the final outcome of this struggle has already been determined. Time is on our side, and Californians will one day soon repeal Proposition 8. Patti and I have been married for 43 years, and we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the LGBT [...]

Yesterday, my Facebook Buddy, Barack Obama, confirmed me as a cousin yesterday. This meant I was also related to Dick Cheney, was Dick Cheney (!!!), or it was just inexplicably goofy April Fools Joke.
It is true, I have a black thumb, yet I want a victory garden of raised beds and a drip system. Getting [...]

Actually, my endorsements are not really shocking at all.
If you have read this blog at all it should be absolutely 1080p clear that I am a staunch supporter of Barack Obama for President. In times of crisis which were delivered to us by the republicans, we need a solid, even-tempered Obama to intelligently and with [...]

There is most excellent news to report. Proposition 98 went down in defeat and it was really not even close. Statewide 61% voted no. Marin county voted no 67.3%, Sonoma 69%, and San Francisco voted no with a whopping 74.67%. Apparently, 99 was fine winning statewide by 62.5%. Marin county voted yes on 99 by [...]

Maven has apparently caused only a wee ruckus by complaining about negative mailers. After writing about a huge string of anti-Nation mailers, there was an anti-Leno television ad and a mailer that has caused quite a stir.
I thought I made it real clear that I object to all attack ads regardless of who they [...]

I slept like a baby through last night’s episode of The Endless Primary Show. I couldn’t take any more sadness about Ted Kennedy or China. I have been suffering through this head cold from hell since I got back home from going to Carole Migden’s house party. It started with a sore throat, and [...]

Double-endorsing is the New Endorsement
According to Northbayist, Mark Leno is claiming that my Supervisor, Susan Adams has endorsed him, and Carole Migden has Susan as an endorser. In an earlier post, I pointed out an article that has Susan announcing that she is endorsing Joe Nation, but it appears that there are two Susan Adams, [...]

On Thursday, May 8th, Marin Organizing Committee held an Action Assembly at St. Raphael Church in San Rafael. This event was the organization’s first and drew record standing room only crowds. As far as anyone knows 600 people is the largest gathering of its kind in Marin history. In my experience, it was by far [...]

Woolsey previously endorsed Carole Migden, now she is double endorsing for…wait for it…wait for it…Anybody but Joe Nation. That’s cold. One of my favorite political blogs, Liberal Values, posts a Clinton quote from USA Today that made my jaw drop.
“I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on,” she said in an [...]

Let me tell you a story that can begin to explain my indecisiveness in the CD-3 State Senate race.
It was the year the Pope got shot, and I was a Catholic School girl at Notre Dame High school in Belmont, California. A classmate and I in our uniforms decided to skip school and go to [...]
