Maven Does the Primary Happy Dance

Date May 6, 2008

The best way not to sit around nervously all day browsing politics blogs all day in anticipation of election returns is to go to the Zoo. While it seems that half the San Francisco Zoo appears to be closed, under construction, or just poorly maintained — I got some exercise with my family and I was able to grumble about something other than politics.

I am doing the happy dance because it looks like Obama won North Carolina by a huge margin and he may keep Clinton to a single digit margin in Indiana. I thought Clinton would blow him out in Indiana, but it will be a surprising narrow victory. After all the crap Obama has gone through these past weeks and all the debates I have had with several Clinton supporters telling me he is unelectable, it was bumming me out. Now, I choose to be a little smug — not in a mean way, but just in a groovy happy dance way. Tomorrow will be another day, but tonight we feast on the sweet taste of victory.
