Happy International Workers’ Day! It is time to sing “The Internationale”

It is time to open up our McMansions as communal headquarters for the continual struggle of the oppressed. La propriété, c’est le vol! The bourgeoisie spas with their hot stone massages must be liberated for all the people. Let the masses flock to Starbucks and plan the revolution!

   I enjoy your site.

   However, I don’t have a McMansion (I would prefer not to imply any association with Mc-anything, it’s a little townhouse), and Starbucks is no place to start a workers revolution!

   That was a post that was purely tongue in cheek. I don’t live in a McMansion either (I live in what I call a Hoyttville Hovel). My point was that Marin is a very awkward place to have a Socialist Workers revolution. Yet, I do go hiking up in the hills above Marinwood and I have to pass those McMansions. I mentioned Starbucks to tip my hand how serious I was about the revolution. I agree — it would be an absurd place to hatch a workers revolution. Wouldn’t you do get extra style points fermenting dissent against capitalism in one of its own temples?

   I’m just having fun.
