Maven’s Alert: Fight For Our Public Schools

Parents in Marin are organizing to sign a petition: Stop Careless Budget Cuts in California. This petition urges the Governor to prioritize cuts and save some funding for our schools, and the disabled and poor who would be most affected by the proposal. It also points out the absurdity of his proposal to increase funding by 136 million to build a new death row facility at San Quentin while he slashes 10% from education.
