Green Drinking & Networking for Sustainability

The North Bay Sustainable Business Alliance is going to have another Green Drinks Sustainability Networking Event on Thursday, February 28th at 5:30pm to 7:30pm. This social will be held at the Novato Oaks, 215 Alameda del Prado in Novato. The Novato Oaks is in progress to become a Green Certified Hotel, which is kind of cool. The event cost is 20 bucks with a no host bar, but they are providing appetizers.

Their speaker for this even is Seth Nickinson who is an Account Manager at Saatchi & Saatchi. He handles strategy and client relationships with the firm’s most significant Fortune 500 clients. He was part of a team that delivered transformative sustainability education to Walmart. Just last year Seth served as Deputy Director of Communications on the closest Congressional race in the nation. His expertise ranges from humanitarian policy issues, natural disaster response, and conflict prevention and mitigation.

Nickinson has also worked with InterAction,. the largest coalition of US-based relief and development NGOs in regards to avian influenza. He also has expertise in global trade and finance especially in Latin America. Seth can speak to the reform of institutions as the World Bank, IMF, and CAFTA, while supporting local civil society in social and economic justice issues. Whether he is in the United Nation in Geneva or the soccer fields in Guatemala, Seth can train in development applications of information technologies and trade liberalization.

These Green Drinks socials will be regularly scheduled on the 4th Thursday of every month at the Novato Oaks. These events are lively social and networking gatherings for business people interested in sustainability including green business, architecture, design, organics, clean energy, local economy, and other topics.
