7-10-06 Marinwood Plaza Meeting
If you haven’t already heard the Marinwood Plaza has been bought by developer, Trammel Crow ending over 50 years of ownership by Hoytt Enterprises. Trammel Crow is a Dallas-based real estate and investment company. According to Bill Hansel, the plans are still slated as multi-use, but no design work has started yet. Peter Brandon, who is the director with Trammel Crow lives in Lucas Valley and is aware of a need for a good market. Outstanding issues as traffic and the clean up of spills from the Dry Cleaners remain. Brandon told the MarinIJ that besides a grocery store, there may be a coffee shop, retail stores and possible space for studios that could be rented to local artists. The IJ reports also that housing will be part of Trammel Crow’s plan, but he said it’s going to take several months to come up with the design and number of units.

The Marinwood Association is going to have a meeting about the Plaza on Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 at 7:30pm. The meeting will be held at the Howie Center, formally the Marinwood Community Center.
